Once the desired combination is found the formula can be sent to Formatt Hitech for the creation of a bespoke 4mm standard thickness 4x5.65” Custom Diffusion filter. Up to three individual 2mm Custom Diffusion filter characteristics can be combined into the finished single 4mm filter - usually delivered within six weeks.

Alternatively, the 2mm Custom Diffusion filters from the set can be used as they are in combination if the need arises. Users can also specify and build smaller bespoke sets of the 2mm Custom Diffusion filters to order.

The full kit comes beautifully fitted in a dedicated HPRC hard case with foam specifically designed not to scratch the filters. Once the chosen formula has been established using the 2mm filters the cinematographer can then access the combined power of Resolution, Halation, and Contrast filters all in one single 4x5.65" filter, elegantly condensed into a 4mm thickness.
