Today Accsoon announces the new F-C01 focus control package that brings high-end wireless reliability to affordable remote focus systems. Renowned for its groundbreaking wireless video transmitters, Accsoon now brings its experience in premium advanced wireless technology at revolutionary prices to an all-new lens control system. The F-C01 does this using a groundbreaking new Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) system developed in-house by Accsoon that operates on the 915 MHz ultra-high frequency. This tech allows the motor and the controller to communicate constantly, switching channels in unison at a speed of hundreds of times per second within the specified frequency range. The result is an incredibly stable connection between hand controller and motor that gives the user increased confidence and outperforms competing systems.
The F-C01 also possesses a number of other uniquely convenient features that make it stand out. It is compact and lightweight enough to use with smaller cameras, yet offers near silent operation, super easy auto-calibration and easy to set A/B focus points. The lens motor is designed to offer high torque allowing the use of larger cine lenses, or older, stiffer manual focus lenses - something that rival systems can also struggle with. The F-C01 package incorporates the wireless receiver into the Motor, keeping the system compact and efficient.
Power
The F-C01 Controller runs on the commonly available Sony-type NP-FW50 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. This is the same battery-type used in many popular Sony mirrorless cameras, so many users won’t need to invest in a new battery system. Since it is also used in many consumer products, the NP-FW50 battery type is readily available throughout the world so users can easily purchase spare batteries and chargers. For those users who don’t possess these batteries the F-C01 will also be available to purchase in a kit with 2 NP-FW50 type batteries and a USB charger.
The F-C01 Motor can operate on a wide 5-16.8v power range, allowing it to be run from USB power, camera gimbal accessory ports, as well as full-sized 14.8v camera battery bricks and other power solutions. Both DC to USB-C and D-Tap to USB-C cables are included and allow for the additional power required for stiffer, heavier lenses to be driven.
And Powerful
Don’t let the petite size of the F-C01 fool you, the system is robust and powerful. The 915MHz signal has an unobstructed range of 100m (350ft) and a response time under 10ms. The Motor has a maximum torque force of 0.35 N.m, allowing it to control heavier older lenses, especially on cold winter nights. Operational temperature for the system ranges from -10°C to +40°C.
Simple setup
Even with all these high end features operating the F-C01 is simplicity itself. Pairing and calibrating the system is only a button push away and when used as an on-camera lens controller the two units can be directly wired together. For cameras that support it, the F-C01 Motor includes a port to connect a cable to trigger recording from the Rec button on the Controller. Accsoon are also releasing dedicated camera cables available to buy separately.
Compact But Flexible
The F-C01 Controller is designed to fit comfortably in the user’s hand or with the included quick-release mounting plate attached to the side of a monitor, gimbal, cage or camera. The Controller is only 79*73*55mm and weighs an astonishingly low 110g. The F-C01 Motor mounts directly to a 15mm diameter camera rod.The package also includes an adjustable rod and mounting plate solution to attach directly to a camera cage. The compact motor is just 53.5*104*32mm and is a featherweight 100g.
