The most powerful fully color-tunable spotlight in the world to be unveiled at NAB 2022
Maximum power, maximum color. That’s precisely what the new Prolycht Orion 675 FS LED full spectrum spotlight delivers in a single robust fixture that is built for Film and TV professionals. The Orion 675 FS is The New Standard.
Don’t settle for RGBW or RGBWW - go RGBACL
The Orion 675 FS utilizes the industry-leading 6-color LED Hyperlight Color engine mixing Red, Green, Blue, Amber, Cyan and Lime to create a wider color gamut with excellent fidelity. Skin tones reproduction is super accurate and pleasing, with unprecedented flexibility in spectrum matching. The RGBACL Hyperlight Color engine surpasses traditional RGBW or RGBWW technology.
The genuine HMI replacement
Simple comparisons illustrate just how bright the Orion 675 FS is. Set to 5600K the Orion 675 FS is significantly brighter than a 1200w HMI fixture. At 3200K the Orion 675 FS is equal in output to a classic 5000w tungsten fixture. Compared to LED spotlights, the Orion 675 FS is brighter than a 600W daylight-only light and is three times brighter than any other manufacturer’s RGBACL spotlight.
Fully flexible light spectrum
The Orion 675 FS has an extended color temperature range from 1,800K-20,000K with precision control of all color channels throughout. The versatile full spectrum color abilities of the Orion 675 FS set it apart from all other competing products, making it the first true replacement for a host of antiquated fixtures users are eager to improve upon.
Limited time $2795 US price promotion
The Orion 675 FS basic kit will have a list price of just $3495 US plus local taxes, however until June 1, 2022 users will be able to pre-order the light for just $2795 US from authorised Prolycht dealers in USA and Canada, with similar offers available in Europe and the UK.
The Orion 675 FS will also be sold in a set with a rolling hard case and will be similarly discounted to $3095 US for the promotional period.
Designed with top Gaffers and Cinematographers
The Orion 675 FS builds on the enviable reputation of its sister Orion 300 FS LED spotlight. Prolycht has worked with some of the best in the industry when designing the 675 FS, including renowned Hollywood DP Rodney Charters ASC as lead consultant. The combination of cutting edge science, plus practical on-set feedback is what makes this light so special.
The single-body construction (no additional ballast) is a compact and efficient design that can be set up quickly, whether on a stand or hanging from a grid. At 21 pounds (9.45 kgs) it is lighter than less powerful comparable lights, and some COB type lampheads with separate ballasts. A high IP rating means that the Orion 675 FS can be used outdoors in inclement weather.
The Orion 675 FS can be powered from AC power or 48v battery, with AC pass-through power for ease of use. An angled yoke allows greater tilt range when light modifiers such as soft boxes are attached. It is reversible for better balance on light stands if heavy lens accessories are used. The yoke is quick-release mounted for easier storage and includes 1/4 20 threaded sockets for mounting future accessories.
Innovative emitter design for hard cut shadows
The Orion 675 FS RGBACL multi-color COB emitter utilizes an all-new internal geometrical structure, creating a front surface just 40mm across. This design creates sharp shadows with a wide even beam spread and allows the use of a variety of Bowens mount accessories. The Orion 675 FS includes two reflector dishes (30 degree & 55 degree).
Modify light your with Bowens mount flexibility
In addition to the many Bowens mount modifiers available for the Orion 675 FS Prolycht will offer a 10” adjustable fresnel lens with barndoors, a 60” Soft Dome, and a 35” Soft Lantern. Additional lensed modifiers are also planned from Prolycht and Dedolight.
FS = Full Spectrum control and effects
Multiple useful tools are built into the Orion 675 FS. Five color modes allow control of the Orion 675 FS spectrum:
- In CCT mode the Orion 675 FS can be adjusted the huge range from 1,800K to 20,000K color temperature with green/magenta offset throughout.
- X/Y mode allows precision repeatable color throughout the CIE1931 color space.
- HSI mode lets one dial in hue, saturation and intensity.
- GEL mode offers more than 330 Lee and Rosco gel equivalents applied to either 3200K or 5600K bases.
- Single Color mode provides direct control of the six individual color channels in the Hyperlight Color Engine.
Additionally, the SOURCE mode includes presets to replicate the output of more than 40 types of light sources, and the EFFECTS mode features a variety of multicolor effects, each with adjustable parameters for colors and timing. Along with the hundreds of preloaded settings, users can load their own presets into the Orion 675 FS.
Control with CRMX wireless control, DMX, ArtNet or iOS/Android device
Control of the Orion 675 FS is available on the fixture itself, through DMX, CRMX LumenRadio, ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth Mesh. ArtNet is also fully supported. Prolycht offers the free ChromaLink App for IOS or Android phones and tablets, and the Orion 675 FS can interface with popular light control software and hardware.

About Prolycht
Prolycht is the vision of Dr Anqing Liu, who set out to create a better LED light by using his many years of experience studying color reproduction and perceptual color. As a leading color expert Dr Liu was formerly a research scientist at Philips and an academic at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. He contributed to the current CIE (International Commission on Illumination) standards which are used to evaluate lighting. After time in the USA he returned to China, founded Prolycht and developed the Hyperlight color mixing engine as a response to the inferior color fidelity seen on most other professional LED lighting fixtures.
