The hardest job on set? The PA’s. They may not get much of the credit but they are an essential part of any shoot - and often the one who suffers from any creative differences, and dare we say it tantrums during production.
(This scene is inspired by real events and recreated by actors.)
Revar Cine has captured the tears they shed and distilled their essence, transforming them into a luxurious cinema filter with an ethereal look that will add pure emotion to any shot.
PA Tears is a modern glass diffusion filter designed to give a decrease in contrast, halation to light sources, and a clean bright organic look to your images. This silver mist filter will have a similar effect on your images to popular white mist or pearlescent filters, but with a less pronounced glow. Coming in just one single strength, the PA Tears filter mixes well with multiple lighting setups to instantly create a slightly dreamy atmosphere and add depth to your scene, without it appearing like a 1970s music video.
PA Tears filter fitted in a Bright Tangerine mattebox
DP Neil Watson describes PA Tears as: "a fantastic filter that accents and blooms lights as well as skin tones in color lights. Especially beautiful at night."
Now available to order, the PA Tears filter is available in 4 x 5.65 size for fitment into standard filter trays, or directly into matteboxes like the Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom. Each filter is carefully crafted with specially formulated fine particles resulting in a magical silver sheen. This is bonded inside the Schott B270 ultra clear glass and polished to precision.
The PA Tears filter joins the incredibly popular Scarf Dust gold mist diffusion filter in Revar Cine’s expanding filter lineup. The company is best known for creating the highest quality Cine Variable ND filters available, as well as Rota-Tray Polarizers and specialist diopters.
The PA Tears filter costs $399 US, but is available at an introductory price of $269 US for a limited time from the Revar Cine website.
